The Polarization Rotator is a wire grid polarizer combined with a mounted mirror placed at an adjustable distance behind the polarizer. It is designed to take an incoming linearly polarized signal and adjust the polarization elliptically.

Free Standing Wire Grid Polarizers

    • These polarizers are made of 10 µm, 15 µm or 20 µm tungsten wire wound on a circular frame with spacing ranging from 25 µm to 200 µm.

Thin Film Polarizers

Thin Film Terahertz Polarizers are designed for applications in the 0.1-3.0 THz range. The polarizers consist of any array of metal stripes fabricated on a polymer membrane using an ultrafast laser micromachining technique. Typical stripe widthand spacing are about 15um. THz thin film polarizers provide performance comparable to free-standing wire grids, such as G25S and G30S, made of 10um wires spaced by 25um and 30um respectively.

The main advantage of thin film THz polarizers is significantly larger clear aperture – up to 85mm in diameter. For comparison, the G25S and G30S free-standing wire grid polarizers are only available with clear apertures of 40mm.

Polarizer Holders

We carry two types of rotating holders for the wire grid polarizers or thin film polarizers.

Model RH1 is designed for 4″ diameter polarizers, and enables a 360° rotation.

Model RH2 is designed for 4″ diameter polarizers, and enables 2-axis adjustments and 360° rotation.

THz Band Pass Filters

Band-Pass filters allow for the selection of narrow bands in the frequency ranges of 0.1-1.2 THz. These filters utilize multilayer frequency selective surfaces to achieve a desired frequency response. The allowed bandwidth varies with center frequency, from 10 GHz to 200 GHz.

The laser design enables easy switching between output beams at 1064nm, 532nm, 355nm, 266nm, and 213nm without removing protective cover and additional alignment.  All wavelengths can be aligned along the same axis and a guide red laser beam is available as an option.

LS-2137U model is based on the industry standard VRM resonator, offering shorter pulses and higher harmonics conversion efficiency due to shorter pulses.  LS-2137N and LS-2147N use a unique resonator design enabling improved stability and beam quality.

Double Pulsed Q-Switched Nd:YAG Lasers Optimized for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)

LS-2132 PIV, LS-2145 PIV, LS-2145D and LS-2145 LIBS
LS-2145D lasers rely on a unique design; two independent laser resonators pumped by a single flash amp are integrated into one system.  This enables precise control of time delay between the pulses.  Other PIV and LIBS systems are more compact and generate shorter pulses.

All models are equipped with multiple triggering options:
Single shot push button trigger and continuous internal trigger from remote control, external TTL trigger, computer-controlled laser operation via RS-232.  Dual output ports allow each oscillator to operate independently.

A Tunable Pulsed Ti:Sapphire Laser System Designed for Photoacoustic Imaging
Key Features:
-Pulse energy: 10-150mJ
-Tuning Range: 730-900nm
-Additional Outputs at: 1064 nm and 532 nm
-Computer control of output wavelength
-Fast tuning and switching

A unique feature of this laser system manufactured by Lotis-TII is a very high pulse energy, which enables single shot photoacoustic imaging without scanning.  The output wavelength can be tuned from pulse to pulse to obtain images across the laser tuning range 730-900nm.

These lasers rely on a unique resonator design enabling excellent stability and ease of operation.  It is fully integrated and includes power monitoring of 1064nm and 532nm outputs.
